The Rubber Check Race is a fast paced timed relay where teams go head to head in order to get the rubber check across the finish line first! It’s not the standard relay race – as this one involves two horses, a four-wheeler, a wheelbarrow and four team members. The Rubber Check Race takes place in August in the grandstand at the Scotts Bluff County Fair in Mitchell. In past years, averages of 13 to 15 teams have entered the event.
